Symbolism
Stag Represents the extensive woodlands, parklands, and historic deer forests of County Down. It is also associated with nobility, strength, and the county's natural heritage, particularly the Mourne and Lecale regions.
Sheaves of Wheat Symbolise agriculture, which has been central to County Down's economy for centuries. The fertile lands of the county have long supported farming and food production.
